Bring with you:

• Original title signed by Seller(s)
• Current odometer mileage reading or picture of odometer
• If vehicle is 7 years old or newer (2020 or newer), a signed and NOTARIZED VR-181 MVA Bill of Sale
• Insurance information – Insurance company name and policy number
• Maryland driver’s license for anyone that is to be on the title
• Signed HTT Power of Attorney - for any person that will not be present and will be an owner on the title

Bring with you:

• Original title signed by Seller(s) (Gift Givers)
• Current odometer mileage reading or picture of odometer
• A signed application for Gift Certification Form
• If transfer is not between spouses or a parent and child, then a 30-Day inspection tag will be issued If the vehicle has not passed a Maryland Vehicle Safety Inspection
• Maryland driver’s license for anyone that is to be on the title
• Signed HTT Power of Attorney - for any person that will not be present and will be an owner on the title
• Proof of Relationship is required depending on the relationship– Birth Certificates, Marriage Licenses, Divorce Papers, Adoption Papers
• Maryland defines gifts as immediate family transfers only for these relationships: Spouse, Father, Son, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Mother, Stepfather, Adopted Son, Adopted Daughter, Half-Sister, Grandchild, Stepmother, Father-in-Law, Stepson, Stepdaughter, Brother, Mother-in-Law, Grandfather, Son-in-Law, Daughter-in-Law, Half-Brother, and Aunt and Uncle who are 65 years or older

Bring with you:

• Original Certificate of Origin
• Original dealer Bill of Sale or Purchase Agreement
(or a notarized copy)
• Odometer Statement provided by dealer
• Insurance information – Insurance company name and policy number
• Maryland driver’s license for anyone that is to be on the title
• Signed HTT Power of Attorney - for any person that will not be present and will be an owner on the title

Bring with you:

• MVA renewal form or tag number
• Maryland driver’s License

Bring with you:

• All tags
• Registration card (if you want a registration refund – must expire in more than 1 year)
• Maryland driver’s license

• Lien Information (loan statement) or Lien Release
• Lease agreement and proof of monthly lease payments (leased vehicles only)

• Signed HTT Power of Attorney - for any person that will not be present and is an owner on the title
